This is a R-4 Copper Pattern (76-200 minted). The design is for a Large Cent-but is missing the stars! Pretty cool!
The quality is SUPER HIGH END. terrific mirrors are deep, clear, and have bold reflectivity. There is small planchet flake around 10:00 on the obverse and a light lines or two-which are invisible. A gorgeous and totally ORIGINAL deep chocolate/violet/gold mix evenly covers both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have extra sharp strikes. The eye appeal is gorgeous!
PCGS 12, NGC 0, CAC 2. If this were a regular 1854 1C PR64BN, it would cost at least $7,500.00-if you could find one of the mere 50 minted. We think anytime a pattern is priced significantly LESS, its a good deal. Opportunity knocks loud here!
