Pattern collectors should be grateful Simpson has a monster PR66RB and is more into early Bust coins these days, thus making this coin available! This coin is a R-7 (4-12 known) example of Barbers Liberty Head Dollar. It is a pattern, not a die trial. Incredible mirrors are ultra deep and explode from all over. The mirrors are also super clean, have amazing clarity, and are intensely reflective. If you twirl the coin, the mirrors are like a rolling ball of liquid mercury. Very cool. Both sides are glorified by the most electric and incredible GEM MINT RED color. There are no spots. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and have crisp full strikes. The eye appeal is unlike anything most collectors have ever seen-its incredible! PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. We purchased this coin from a fresh “old time” pattern deal that broke at FUN. This coin has not seen the market in at least 11 years. We are confident what we are offering it for is a VERY fair price.
