NOVEMBER WAS TOO MUCH FUN-NOT!
We admit we had a POOR November. Oh was it was bad. It happens. Of course we did not have enough $2,000.00-$5,000.00 coins (which were selling like hot cakes) to make life good.
Not sure why things froze up. We do know it was across the board and we did not have coodies…..On the top end, Oliver Jung selling off about $20 million since the ANA took several big players out for a while. Then, there were the Baltimore auctions. And add the fact the crackout guys were not making any coins, and thus many wholesalers are broke. Too bad for them-right?
It will not take much at all for things to liven up. We have seen a pinch of collector activity this weekend. As everything is being digested, we know activity will be back. The FUN Show will be good-ONLY if the coins the are there.
BRING ON DECEMBER!
Bye bye November! We are positioning ourselves for a good December. We know from the past, collectors sure do buy at the end of the year. While we won’t have a ton of things new to offer in our NEWPS, what we will have will be Legendary!
We’ll be shopping heavily in December too-for the BEST PCGS CAC coins-that we want (need to make that clear-WHAT WE WANT is what we will make offers on).
Legends top graders will going down to Dallas the 13th (gulp Friday the 13th) to lot view. We strongly suggest you confirm with us now what you want us to represent/work with you on.
IT HAS HAPPENED-THE NEW PCGS CAC REGISTRY
Legend was absolutely the last to officially know. The quote on the PCGS chatroom “They will never do it” was what we were saying to John Albanese until we saw the announcement. Do NOT think we had real advance notice.
First, we sincerely congratulate Brett Charville and PCGS. In our opinion, this is a HUGE step forward. Its more like, okay we know the past exists, but we are now a firm that believes in reality and the future. It is clear to us PCGS does understand and want to operate in today’s world. In one year since the new regime took over, PCGS has made monumental strides capped off by this.
While some view it as a negative, we see several positives. This will create more good will from collectors towards PCGS. Plus, collectors now have a choice. Like before, you do not have to do a CAC Registry set. However, if you do want to do one, now you can. In fact, we’d guess there are already over 100 PCGS CAC sets posted.
Most important, collectors who want to buy CAC coins, will see that the price guides are also changing to more accurately reflect CAC coins. Having a Registry makes it easier to see and understand the higher premiums the CAC coins cost. This does not mean NON CAC coins are crashing. For those coins, it now means an honest separation of value. For sure we believe there will be a strong spurt in demand for PCGS CAC coins now that there is a registry.
Last, for all those people who fought us for all these years about CAC-suck it up and face reality. CAC did NOT harm the market. CAC made the market better. CAC has been around for over 12 years. Now that it is working with PCGS, who knows what can next happen! It is all good!

NOTE: We’ve already recieved some surprising and annoying mails/texts about our comments on this subject. Sorry genuises, having a PCGS CAC Registry is that important and really is a major break though that is good for everyone. So do not say we write this piece to suck up piece (if only everyone knew). The people critical of us are the losers. Legend Numismatics has always stood for factual honest comments.

Sorry, the few cheaper NEWPS are sold already. Again, we are doing everything in our power to buy more!
The incredible NEWPS is the pop 1 FINEST 1947-D 25C PCGS MS68 CAC. Looks fireworks! Great for Type or any Washing tone collection. It would go great w/the 50C 1942 PCGS MS68 CAC in our auction’s Valley View Collection.
That does not mean coins in our regular inventory are dead. Check them out. We have many that need great homes. Not everything sells fast.
