We sold some very interesting coins. On Monday, we sold a 1792 Half Disme PCGS XF40 CAC. We last handled this coin back in 2014. It’s from the Great Pacific Collection of rarities. Next week, you will see some other early Type from this remarkable group of coins that have been off the market with a very caring collector for years. For the majority of the week, we moved out some “meat and potato” coins. The sweet spot in our sales was $4,000.00–$10,000.00. Surprisingly, type coins were the hot sellers.
We rank the overall coin market as okay. For Legend, we just can’t get the coins we really need. If we could, our sales would be in the millions immediately.
IS GOLD LOSING IT?
We think there is a lot of profit-taking going on. We are still bullish. The amount of bullion and related items trading right now is in the stratosphere. A dealer we know did nearly $1 million in business in a day! Gold bullion-related material is hot!
There is still a glut of MS61 – MS64 gold available. We are debating whether or not to start selling those coins again. The zero-premium issue cannot last forever. We have had bids out for PCGS CAC MS65 Saints and have bought ZERO, and we are the high bidders at $3,050.00 per coin! We are also bidding $6,000.00 for the MS66+ PCGS CAC Saints. In our opinion, it shows that strong money has no desire to sell. Which makes us feel even more bullish.
As of this writing, gold is down $38.00 to $2,340.00. That’s a big ouch. At the new levels, we do think MS 64-MS66+ Saints are good to buy. We still have access to a large group of PCGS NO CAC MS 64 Saints. Email for availability and quotes.
If you want numismatic gold, we still stress, build a gold-type set. There are plenty of ways you can buy gold. Just email us or call us. The time is now, as gold seems to have peaked for now. However, being gold bugs for life, we think gold still has a big run ahead with all the turmoil in the world.

We ended up with more NEWPS than we realized we had for this week. That is wild considering at the beginning of the week we were debating posting no NEWPS during the holiday weekend.
