NO SUMMER DOLDRUMS ANYMORE
We were living in peace and quiet for the early part of July. Then BAM! The last two weeks we did crazy business and got in some crazy coins. July was an all-time record month for us-something we did NOT expect. A few old Want Lists were happily satisfied. Is the market going down? NO! It’s not even taking a breather. At least from our point of view. Do note, we believe the market is select and gold coins-especially BETTER gold are the strongest still.
Our auction saw some new buyers while Legend Numismatics just got a few more people totally new to coins. They like the idea of collecting along with investing in a hard asset. They will be good long tern significant collectors.
The ANA show itself will be interesting. Many people are holding out for the two massive auctions. We think as much as $75 million+ in US alone will sell between the two. And then there will be the mother of all sales, Bass. We clearly see people selling dupes and cleaning house for that one. Do NOT expect ANYTHING to go cheap in ANY sale-unless it’s an off area like we have been mentioning. We see strong competition ahead for the rarer items. Last, we do NOT suggest you buy commoner coins from auctions. Save yourself some money! We’d bet there would be better deals on the bourse floor in many areas.
Last, watch the price of gold. We think it’s going to inch up to $2,000.00 as tensions with China escalate. Yes, generics are inching up now. Since 2019 this market has been all about gold and better gold.

We are starting to sell the massive Lifetime Achievement Collection. What a collection! We didn’t know where to start, so we flipped a coin. Happily, we FINALLY have a decent group of coins priced BELOW $5,000.00 to offer!!!!!
There are some non-LA better Saints posted as well. The 1913-S is to die for. Also, a gorgeous $1 1890 PCGS PR65 Cameo. We listed 27 NEWPS (by noon Sat 8/6 its down to 19)!!! We might have even more next week. Legend has not posted this many NEWPS in one shot in years!
Do NOT forget to check out our regular inventory. It is 100% PCGS CAC. Even more than that, every coin is picked for its eye appeal too. Legend has been nor will ever be bottom fishers. We only want to sell coins that are top for the grade. And as you all know, we really do work close.
