ALL IS QUIET
Hard to believe we are still working on delivering all our customers auction purchases from ANA. We spent well over $3 million dollars on half of collectors. That was a lot of coins!
Sales from our web site were very quiet this past week. We expected that. After making that comment, Friday we sold $100,000.00 off the web! Activity usually does not pick up until the last week of September. This year, Long Beach will be special. The first session of Bass goes off. Do not expect ANY coins to fall through the cracks. A sale like this brings out the big guns who are still hungry for rarity and quality.
We will be lot viewing Bass this week. We are accepting representations on a a first come first serve basis.
POST PANDEMIC LIFE
Looking back since the pandemic started, collectors have gobbled up hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of great coins. Virtually all went to what we call a deep black hole. It’s not like the old days where you knew all the big players. Today, there are more mega collectors building mega collections then we ever dreamed could happen. We used to wish Bill Gates would buy coins, now it seems his ilk have been! Six figure coins are a bargain when compared to $30 million and up paintings. It’s safe to say, during the pandemic, rare coins were “discovered”. You really have to be a fierce competitor to outbid these whales as in some cases, their money seems endless. In the end, these mega players have been good for the market. They have created a ton of liquidity continuing to make rare coins one of the most liquid collectable buys that exist. Plus, many coins values (NOT all) have gone up. That is a win-win!

If you have noticed, most of our offerings are gold. Why? Because the demand dictates to us. We’d estimate over 60% of what we sell are gold coins. Does not matter if gold is up or down, collectors love their gold coins. We also consider gold coins to be a great long term safe haven.
We are still working hard to get non gold coins. We cannot find what we want.
Be sure to check out our regular inventory. We ONLY offer PCGS CAC coins. Every coin is HIGH END for the grade and has great eye appeal. That is why we have been able to build so many great collections.
