CSNS RESTARTED THE MARKET

We never expected to do as many sales to collectors as we did at the CSNS Show. It just doesn’t happen when someone walks up and says, OMG! I’ve been looking for that coin and want it—and then they buy it! Especially when it’s $24,000.00. Back in our office, sales were sluggish over the weekend. Monday and Tuesday were scary quiet. Then Wednesday came, and KABOOM! We shipped out $150,000.00 of GEM coins that day alone. We’re still adding up Thursday and Friday’s strong activity (each of those days started off with a good web sale in the AM).

Because we worked our customer base so hard to find great coins, we were able to list quite a few. Collectors certainly are taking notice. We are picking up new customers like we just started out in business. Our biggest fear is that we will run out of great coins to sell. We’ve come really close a few times this year. One thing we will NEVER do is change our standards. Our plea to our customers: please sell back the great coins we have sold you over the years (or consign them and get a little more). Clearly, there is a new generation hungry for those coins.

GOLD

It looks like we judged it kind of correctly as to when the price run-up would stall. We got in early and sold many generic Saints before the run-up. Gold has now settled and seems steady. It is our strong opinion (no guarantee) that gold will resume its rise and break $2,500.00 by the fall.

Premiums are still low on things like MS 64 Saints. We like the PCGS CAC MS65 Saints a lot. Those premiums did not really move, and the coins are not easy to find.

Of course, our most highly recommended play on gold is to build a Gold Type set. It can be 8 or 12 coins. It can be even bigger. You can include what you want. It’s a great way to have diverse holdings. We would love to build a few more sets; just email or call us.

We can still obtain generic Saints. Just call or email us.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR HALF DOME COLLECTOR

We were finally able to get his $10 Indian MS Set posted on PCGS. Right now, it is only on the PCGS CAC listing. But it is by far the #1 $10 Indian set that exists! And it is all CAC.

In order to make this happen, he stepped up and paid a staggering $11 million at the end of last year to buy the #1 Simpson set, which Legend built. He had us sell off the dupes (several of which were added to world-class collections). He now has 6 pop 1 PCGS CAC coins with 3 other pop 1’s where there is a coin graded higher (maybe not CAC, though).

The grand, once-in-a-lifetime highlights of his set:

$10 1920-S PCGS MS67+ CAC One of the finest $10 that exists!

$10 1933 PCGS MS66+ CAC The FINEST 1933 $10 period

Half Dome is young, and all his collections—$2.5 Indians, $5 Indians (the #1 ranked set), and his #2 ranked $20 Saints—are all in trust for his young children. So all these coins have been off the market for a very long time! NOTE: ALL his coins are PCGS CAC. Last, he is still building his sets. If you have any FINEST KNOWN PCGS CAC-only pieces, contact us.

Way to go, Half Dome! You finally got the $10 set complete for now.

NEWPS

So many times we strive to get coins under $10,000.00 to offer, and all we end up with are coins over $10,000.00. This time, much to our surprise, we are only offering 3 coins over $10,000.00! The vast majority of the coins are even below $5,000.00. No, we have not changed our operations; this was all we could buy at CSNS.

The highlight of our NEWPS:

The 1C 1900 PCGS MS67+ RD CAC. This is not just any Indian 1C. The coin looks like a freshly made Lincoln cent! WOW!

We’re sure this offering won’t last too long; every coin is high-end, has great eye appeal, and is PCGS CAC or CACG.

LEGEND IS BUYING BETTER PCGS, CAC COINS, AND BETTER CACG PIECES. WHAT DO YOU HAVE?

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR WISH TO ORDER, EMAIL US. WE DO NOT CHECK OUR PHONE MESSAGES UNTIL 9:00 AM MONDAY. OUR OFFICE HOURS ARE 9-4 PM.
