SLOWLY THE FLOOD GATES ARE OPENING
Like in the Arbys commercial where the deep voice says “we have the meats”, we can say “we have the coins”. Well at least a few. There still is no flood of coins coming out at all.
Our NEWPS today total OVER $350,000.00 for the second week in row. In the past week, we have done purchasing deals for $1,000,000.00! That includes a collection we had been building for over a decade (stay tuned for this one). Feels good to be handling a stream of coins again. We did and extra hard push to load up for ANA (in 10 days). It worked!
It will be interesting to see how the market reacts to coins at the new levels. We know of one dealer who has a major deal in who is just selling the heck out of it at sky high numbers. Included are GEM coins Silver and Gold. Of course better gold coins are still nearly impossible to keep in stock.
No question overall, the market is active and is VERY healthy in most (but not all) areas. Again, we expect this years ANA Show to rank among the best ever in terms of attendance from both dealers and collectors. Activity at the show should be tremendous. Anything less we think will be a sign of things ready to slow.
