COINS ARE SEEPING OUT
As you can see, this week we have over $350,000.00 worth of fabulous NEWPS now posted. Several of the coins are gold!
Its been a combination of factors that we have access again to some fresh stock. Its more then just being in the right place at the right time.
We can tell you at shows, the activity is strong across the board. Our “super secret stealth seller” is having his best year ever (he did $700,000.00 at Summer FUN) and is drooling over the prospects of what he will do at ANA. We are too. Our prediction for ANA is that it will be the BEST attended ANA in years. Activity both ways (buying and selling) will be strong. For many collectors it will be their first major show in 18 months.
Are prices rising? In many areas, YES. Even in July. We’d estimate the market is up another 10% in the last 30 days-especially in GEM gold. Again, NOT all areas are rocking. 3CN’s, Bust 10C, Bust 25C, Merc Dimes are just a few of the areas that are soft. Dealers check books and attitudes are positive-something that does not happen every too often. There for sure is still no oversupply of great coins. Last, the ANA Auctions are small. This should allow for more upward prices.

A MAJOR SALE
Legend Numismatics took part in the sale of a $20 1927-D PCGS MS66+ CAC. The sale price was inexcess of $3,000,000.00. This sale was inspired by the recent auction of the 1933 $20. We are proud to say, our customer who owned the coin (which we placed with him) made a profit of just over $1,000,000.00! He owned the coin since 2009. Do people make money with coins? If you work with us and hold, YES! We expect the new owner to enjoy serious profits on this piece as well down the road.
