COINS ARE STILL SELLING
While not at a fevered pitch, there is surprisingly strong activity during the summer doldrums. We can’t say we’ve sold many six figure coins; however, we have sold many coins in the $10-$75,000.00 range. The majority of the coins were better gold. We wish we could get our hands on more of them!
We see a lot of posturing for the ANA show and its massive auctions. We’ve had many people answer our call to get ready for the sales. You’ll see a few commoner coins posted in our NEWPS. Sort of a gold bugs delight. We’ll be representing a lot of people. If you will seek representation, call or email us now! We do this on a first come first serve basis. No one knows how to manage auction buying better than us!
Things will be steady until ANA. There still is a ton of money looking for places to go. Multimillion dollar houses are still selling within days here, only to have massive renovations or to be torn down! We see many expensive new cars on the road. The art market is doing just fine as are other major areas of collectables.
Do NOT expect things to be cheap at ANA. Today, there is no flood of coins on the market. Be prepared to be challenged! We expect close to $100 million to be sold between all the auctions. Our suggestion: do NOT chase commoner coins. If you’re going to pay up, make it matter. If you see a coin today, with all things status quo (the quiet before the storm)-negotiate your best deal. You’ll be happy you did.
LEGEND NUMISMATICS
Someone recently said to us we are “out of touch” with the average collector. There is no real defination of what the average collector is. We want to clarify who we are and that we do deal with everyone.
Legend is known for big collections and PCGS CAC coins. While we decided years ago to sell only CAC, we do buy and sell non CAC coins every day. We simply refuse to sell bad coins to the public. We do sell a select few non CAC coins in a year to collectors.
The biggest misperception about us: we are elitist. Legend is NOT for sure. You just do not see us selling $250.00 coins on our web site. We sell them in our Internet ONLY portions of our auctions. Its a time and effort thing. We can’t lug around 10 boxes to a show. We do buy cheaper coins! In cat, there are certain coins right now below $2,000.00 we’d load up on, but NONE are around (gold).
Ask anyone, Legend also answers every email and will talk to anyone. We are one of the most reachable dealers.
