YET AGAIN STRONG PRICES WERE REALIZED
Heritage had a monumental task selling 185 patterns and select rarities in this semi hostile market. In the end, the patterns seemed to have more action then the regular issues! Overall we were highly impressed with the prices realized in the entire sale. Keep in mind, we are in the midst of a major pandemic, we lost millions of businesses, the economy is in the pits, yet the coin market is not only holding its own, but is actually inching up.

We won’t bore you with the patterns. Do know that the majority of patterns were NOT one and done. Again, we were shocked at the strong prices realized and strong activity in that area.
For the first time in a long while, we were locked and loaded to buy coins from the sale. And as the way of the current coin market we got spanked and got out bid on many items. We placed $2,821,056.00 worth of bids and only won $997,181.00. We know of another power dealer who had millions in bids and only won $250,000.00. While bad for us dealers, its great to see that strong of a collector base buying.
Save for smaller priced gold coins, sales in the office were quiet (as always happens around big auctions). Next auction: Legend Auctions Regency 42 December 3rd. We expect that to be another strong auction.
A SHOUT OUT TO BLACK CAT
The kitty was on the prowl for patterns at Simpson (and he bought the $1 1795 DB PCGS MS65+ CAC among other coins). We currently rank him as “Simpson lite” (Simpson had nearly 2000 patterns) with him now owning the second finest Pattern Collection. Kitty owns 400+ of some of the greatest patterns ever (accumulated in 3 years). He has many Simpson never had the chance to buy. While he is not an accumlater like Simpson was (who bought duplicates) the cat can’t get his dream patterns: the gold Amazonians. His goal: to build one of the highest quality sets possible.

GOLD
Sure its quiet now, just wait. It had a small run a few months ago. That run cleaned out our market of massive amounts of dreck gold, generics, and really anything gold.
The big investment banking houses still believe another massive gold run is coming. Of course what they don’t tell you is how many of the the top people own a ton of gold. We also are confident hard assets will have one heck of an upward ride in 2021.
We admit to being forever gold bugs. We think today is a final buying opportunity. You know the Dems are itching to spend us into oblivian. We have a US debt that just multiplies every day. We print more money. Right now it is a never ending chain.
