We can only imagine how fast and furious business will be if there is a show today. All dealers are starved for a big show. There won’t be any decent size show until Nashville the last week of October (LRCA is the official auctioneer). Baltimore is in the second week of November.
We are doing far more business off our web site than we ever thought is possible a month after the ANA show. If you have the “right” coins, they WILL sell. Price is not a concern when it comes to pops of less than 10. In fact, most prices are far behind the current market. Part of the problem is that too many coins have not been publicly traded in years. So the price guides remain stagnant. If a coin is a clunker and sells cheap-OUCH! It makes the better coins look too expensive-which they are not. The educated buyers do realize this.
You can NOT buy real quality cheap!
THE CACG MARKET
So many people have been asking us about it. Until CACG gets the registry going, BUY WHAT YOU CAN OF CACG coins. Once the registry starts, you will be wishing you had more in your collection. We do know CACG coins priced below $1,500.00 are selling fast and furious. The better coins depend on what they are. We had a $1 1921 Peace CACG MS66 – we could have sold it several times over!
Lastly, there is nothing wrong w/a PCGS or PCGS CAC holder. The majority of coins are in those holders and only time will tell how the market will shift. We feel having a mixed collection of PCGS CACG can’t hurt but collectors with their registry coins should continue to stay the course.
