1907 50C Half Dollar Barber PCGS PR67 (CAC)
$7,500.00
One of only 575 proofs struck—100 fewer than the year before, reflecting collectors’ cooling on the era’s mostly brilliant proof finish. PCGS estimates some 500 survive in all grades. A Superb Gem of the post-1901 “semibrilliant” proof era: impeccably preserved surfaces at the PR67 level, one step below the single PR68 that tops the PCGS census for the date. Cameo examples of this date are quite rare (roughly a tenth of the population), and no Deep Cameo has ever been certified—this is the most brilliant-finish coin at nearly its finest known. CAC approval confirms solid-to-premium quality for the grade.
